My name is Liam Alderdice and I have a passion for Permaculture, Hydroponics, and living a greener lifestyle!
My mission is to turn my empty field into an abundant food forest, permaculture farm, eco retreat and educational centre for people of all ages!
A safe space for people to come and relax.
I plan to:
start a 100% organic market garden to feed local families and supply local businesses with fresh, seasonal and highly nutritious produce!
Accommodation and facilities for volunteers, workaway sand wooffers!
Build a sheltered yoga deck / education space to host yoga retreats and workshops of all kinds!
Natural swimming pool, sauna, steam room and gym area
I have worked as a landscape gardener for 6 years and have always been disgusted with the amount of waste that is created. I try to take as much as I can home to recycle it and stop it from going to waste.
What is Permaculture ?
Permaculture is a design approach based on nature itself. Working with nature and creating ecosystems. It is based on three main ethics they are Earth Care, People Care, and Fair Share. The word Perma-culture came from “Permanent Agriculture” and “Permanent Culture”. Discovered in Australia.
What is Hydroponics ?
Hydroponics is the art of growing plants without soil. Swapping out the dirt for an alternative material to germinate seeds and grow directly in a nutrient-rich solution.
Through the Covid-19 Pandemic, I have started my own business "Whats Growin On"
Where I supply hydroponic tower gardens throughout the UK. The business is taking a big step up and we will now be installing hydroponic systems in restaurants as well as designing and building their permaculture gardens!
