What's Open, Provincetown?
How many years now have we needed this? "Second summer" will be over before we know it, and people coming to town don’t have any way to plan in advance.
ptownie is willing to step up and keep an active list—but we need your support to build out the website and maintain and update it weekly!
Over the last 16 months we’ve built and maintained a much-needed all-encompassing calendar . It’s clickable, searchable, and works great on any device—and the response has been phenomenal.
In the past, "self-reporting" systems have tried to put together a “what’s open” calendar… and failed. It's time to do it right.
But doing it right costs money.
More people would come to town, especially in the off/shoulder seasons, if they knew what was going on. We’ve started a weekly newsletter called “In the Knows” that currently goes out to over 1,300 people, letting them know what not to miss...
BUT THEY ALSO NEED TO KNOW WHAT’S OPEN WHEN THEY COME TO PTOWN!
We’ve made a big effort to keep people who love Provincetown connected when they aren’t here, particularly on Facebook where we now have one of the highest levels of friends of any organization in town. We’ll use that platform and others to promote What's Open, Provincetown?”
We believe that we can do good business and also do good things in the community. We only employ local talent, people who are a part of the Outer Cape community and who support local organizations.
Over the past year, we’ve demonstrated that we stand by what we believe in, and we will continue to promote local artisans and businesses in the best, freshest way possible.
And we’d love to have you join us! In return, we’ll use our site and our reach to promote every business and every individual who helps us get What’s Open, Provincetown? up and running.
