Werner "Vern" Slocum

Hello,

Unfortunately, Vern suffered a stroke at work recently. He has been on life support at a Lakeland, CO, hospital and is in the Neuro ICU. His wife, Christie, and family are with him. Christie is a nurse and has been by his side every second of the way. Vern is currently making slow progress each day, however he has a drain for his brain bleed. He is also not able to communicate much at this point, and the doctors are hoping to put in a feeding tube tomorrow.

3. You know a person deeply committed to family.

4. You know a best friend who doesn’t judge and is a great listener.

5. You know a person who loves animals, especially dogs. They are his children.

7. You know a person who loves the outdoors and worked many years to make his way to his dream-state, Colorado.

8. You know a person who explores, loves to travel, and loves being outdoors any way he can (especially with Christie).
