Great North Swim 2025
I am taking part in the Great North Swim again in June and raising money for #ALLFORJOE charity.
Joe was a Para Swimmer for England and a mad Boro fan. He loved life and lived it to the max and nothing stood in his way.
Joe had a rare form of dwarfism (only 22 in the world) which caused depleted immune system that required weekly blood transfusions as well as brain tumors. Joe lost the use of his right side of his body but soldiered on and maintained his place in the England Squad. Sadly Joe took his own life after fighting his conditions for 16 years in 2024.
Want to join me in making a difference? I'm raising money to benefit #ALLFORJOE, and any donation will help make an impact. Thanks in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to me.
This charity has been set up to help others with disabilities to make them feel more inclusive in sports and to promote awareness in mental health. Suicide is the biggest killer of young people under the age of 35 in the UK, every year over 1800 young people took their own lives. PAPYRUS provides confidential support and advice to young people struggling with thoughts of suicide, and anyone worried about a young person through their helpline, HOPELINE247.
