Small Town USA - A fundraiser for Carl Wesley
Donazione protetta
A little backstory -
My sister and I were raised by a warrior of a woman, our mom. She is loving, smart, kind and so very patient. She married later in life to a man she calls her best friend. We love this man our babies call Papa.
Carl is not only a papa to our children but a father to his only son and a son and a brother. He talks about fishing and hunting and watching his son grow up and play baseball. His family is the most important thing. He grew up and still lives in a small town in Missouri. If you've ever been there YOU KNOW CARL. He loves cooking and history and man, does he love his family and little Sparta town.
We noticed something off when he complained of massive amounts of pain through his body. Our mom rushed him to the ER, Mercy Hospital in Springfield, MO on Thursday, Oct. 15th and currently is still residing there. They have done extensive tests resulting in a diagnosis of Sepsis. Google says, "Sepsis is a potentially life-threatening condition caused by the body's response to an infection. The body normally releases chemicals into the bloodstream to fight an infection. Sepsis occurs when the body's response to these chemicals is out of balance, triggering changes that can damage multiple organ systems." He has had surgery, a heart valve replacement, and so much help from our incredible medical heroes although the extensive surgeries don't stop there.
Between medical debt, being the primary provider for his family and no health insurance his medical bills are through the roof! As you can imagine, we are reaching out to our community and to anyone who can help or has shared an experience like Carls to PLEASE help ease this financial burden from our parents. Any help will go directly to his medical costs and bills.
On behalf of our family, my mom and our papa, thank you in advanced. We appreciate the outpour of love, prayers and support in his battle and hopefully his recovery in months to come.
