URGENT help for Leena’s family in Gaza

Donation protected

I am Lina shurafa , I am 28 years old, from Gaza, I live in the UAE, and my family still lives in Gaza.
My mother, father, and I have two sisters and one brother

Before the war, my father had a large store in which he sold children’s clothes that he imported from abroad, and my brother worked with him in the same place, but after October 7, my father and brother lost their source of livelihood and we lost our house in which we lived, and my eldest sister worked in the field of Ui UX and she worked on the Internet. But after the war, she lost her job due to the lack of internet and electricity, and she also lost her laptop in the burning house.

We had a large, new house that we had furnished shortly before the war. After that, the occupation forces burned it and nothing was left of it. They had left their homes without clothes, only after the important things that they were able to take.

They were displaced to the area west of Gaza, then the Jews entered the north, and the bombing and demolition was falling on us, and sand was getting between our teeth due to the intensity of the bombing that was falling on us.
They stayed in northern Gaza and were unable to go to the south because they had no home or housing there in the cold climate without food, water, and sufficient clothing to protect them from the cold and rain. They lived in a house with a very large number of people. They relied entirely on ready-made canned goods that they bought from the markets. If available, at a very high price. After they ran out of canned food, they began to eat grasses and animal waste from which they made bread to satisfy their hunger.
They live every day in extreme fear and insecurity. Every day we hear that one of our family was martyred or arrested by the occupation forces.
I cannot communicate with them or talk to them every day. Since the beginning of the aggression, I have not seen them. A young child named Youssef has not seen them. He has grown up a lot and has reached the age of one year, and they have not seen him due to the interruption of the Internet and communications.
I try to talk to them more than a hundred times a day due to poor communication.

I am now unable to ensure the safety of my family or provide for their basic needs. Our house in Gaza was severely damaged by Israeli bombing. We have suffered a huge loss of our family income. My parents, brother and sister have been without a salary for six months now, and even if the war stops, they will not be able to resume their work. This is because the occupation forces bombed their workplace.

With no other way, I am forced to protect my family by taking refuge in Egypt, a journey that requires a large sum of money to cross the Rafah crossing, the only exit from Gaza, and to support ourselves in Egypt.

In the beginning, my father always said it was impossible for me to leave my country, my home, and my work and travel to another country, but now there is nothing left of him, everything has been destroyed.
My focus now is to provide them with a decent life elsewhere.

Current plan:

• Moving my family from Gaza to reside in Egypt and then move to the Emirates

• This relocation will cost a minimum of $30,000.

Your support has been instrumental in helping me implement this plan and provide my family with a second chance at life.

• It is estimated that $30,000 will be needed to facilitate the departure of 5 people from Gaza.

• About $500 to cover transportation and border inspection fees to Cairo (at $100 per person).

• About $12,000 will be needed to cover basic needs in Egypt, including rent and accommodation expenses for approximately 5-7 months.

The need for an airline ticket and a visit visa to the Emirates will be 50,000 dirhams

We have exhausted all our savings during the past six months of the war. Food prices in Gaza have risen dramatically, and we currently live on only canned food and grass.

• Approximately $1,000 will go toward GoFundMe transaction fees, which are 2.9% plus $0.30 per donation.

Your generous contributions will greatly help us get through these difficult times, and I am extremely grateful for any support you can provide to protect my young children.
