Don't cha Wanda help?

Our loving Wanda is currently on a waitlist for a double lung transplant, which is costly in and of itself.  In addition, she must make the journey from Columbus to the Cleveland Clinic (anyone who has lived or worked in Ohio knows how icky and long that drive is) every two months to ensure that all her tests are updated and that she is still a viable candidate in the event that a set of donor lungs become available.  These trips are always two day trips which require gas, lodging, meals and supplemental medications, which are all additional expenses.  Once she has successfully had the surgery, there will be an additional 15 different medications that she will need to take daily in order to prevent her body from rejecting the new organs.  The recovery time in the hospital after the surgery will involve a three week stay and after release from the hospital, she will need to stay in close proximity to the clinic should complications occur.  This means no return trip home to Columbus after the surgery for a minimum of three months.

Anyone who knows Wanda, knows that Wanda is an incredible human being, a loving woman, and one of the hardest working people you will ever meet. I can honestly say that Wanda has made my professional life (along with several other individuals professional lives) easier.  Wanda possesses all those qualities that you find yourself wishing you could find in everyone because then, this world would really be special.   

Wanda has always had our back.  Whether it meant sending us supplies, providing a kind word or an encouraging smile, she did it as only Wanda could.  She has always been a huge part of our NatCat family and has supported us without complaint.  Now, it is our duty to reciprocate.
