Walk the Grand Union Canal 147 miles in 5 days unsupported.

Hi we are Martin (Paddy) Ireland and Christopher (Boggy) Eulert, we are ex Household Cavalry Captains (Retd) and fellow Airborne brothers, together we are walking the Grand Union Canal, from, Birmingham to little Venice London. 147 miles approximately 29.7 miles a day for 5 days unsupported and wild camping.

This challenge will take place from Monday 16th September to Friday 20th September 2024. We are raising funds for a wonderful charity called Supporting Wounded Veterans (SWV). SWV has helped not just myself but hundreds of other veterans who have suffered with injuries during their time in service.

SWV assist veterans with Ski therapy, mental health support and guidance through their cohort of mentors aiding and assisting the veterans into better life decisions and employment opportunities.

SWV is an organisation that is run and supported by some wonderful individuals who really care about our injured veteran community and work tirelessly to help them and their families.

The love and support veterans have received from them is truly amazing and why Chris and I want to give something back and raise money to ensure others receive the genuinely wonderful opportunity I have been given by them.
