On the 23rd of August 2022 — his very first birthday — our beautiful boy Archie lost his life to sepsis.
What started as an infection quickly turned into a medical emergency. Sepsis took hold fast, causing organ failure and, heartbreakingly, his death.
We now know that if the words “Could it be sepsis?” had been asked earlier, Archie might still be here.
Losing Archie broke our hearts — a pain no parent should ever have to feel.
We share his story not to relive that pain, but to protect others. If raising awareness saves even one life, then Archie’s legacy lives on in the most powerful way.
You can read Archie’s story at: Tiny hearts - Archie
We’re walking in Archie’s memory on Friday September 12, uniting to raise awareness and funds for Sepsis Australia.
We ask participants to:
• Wear something blue (Archie’s sister said this was his favourite colour)
• Make a donation of your choice to support this vital cause
⸻
Where Your Donation Goes
All funds raised will go directly to Sepsis Australia supporting their life-saving work to:
• Develop clinical guidance for the early detection, diagnosis, and treatment of sepsis
• Increase public awareness of symptoms and the urgency of seeking medical help
• Establish a National Centre for Sepsis to lead the fight against this silent killer across Australia
Join us as we walk for Archie and all those impacted by sepsis.
Your support means the world.
