Like many Congolese, my family has been deeply affected by the countless wars that have ravaged Congo. My grandparents and parents have lost children and siblings to these wars. They had to flee many times, leaving their homes and livelihood. In 2008, my grandparents, my aunties and uncles, had enough of losing their children and loved ones to these senseless wars. In the middle of the night, they grabbed all of us and fled to a refugee camp in Zambia, facing starvation and homelessness. We lost loved ones in the camp and endured immense hardship. These experiences drive me to launch this campaign, offering hope to my Congolese brothers and sisters in East Congo's displacement camps. I aim to raise funds, alongside Focus Congo, to provide clean water, food, and shelter to my Congolese brothers and sisters in the East and to raise awareness about the ongoing crisis. We are tired of war, losing loved ones, and stolen childhoods. Enough is enough.
