Mary & Lonnie Horn

Hi friends, colleagues, and family -

Sadly, the breast cancer that Mary Horn had been fighting over the last six months has now metastasized to her liver and bones.  Her prognosis is terminal.  Based Lonnie's conversations with the oncology team today, her health is declining so rapidly that he has been told to make final arrangements.  

If she is able to be stabilized in the next day or so, it Mary's wish that she be flown to Texas to spend her final days surrounded by her loving family.

As I'm sure you may imagine, with Lonnie being her sole caretaker and having to miss a lot of work, the medical and living expenses are adding up.   It is my hope that we can raise enough money to help offset some of these expenses, and also help with their travel plans.  Lonnie is a great friend and colleague to many of us, and anything that we can do to alleviate his stress during this difficult time would be much appreciated.  He and Mary are not the type to ask for help.... but it is so evident to me that they need it.

Please help if you are able and so-inclined.  Please also know that if you cannot give monetarily, positive thoughts and prayers are welcome and VERY much appreciated.
