Vlad Mykytyak

We sincerely express our gratitude to everyone who has generously supported the Mykytyak's family during this challenging period. On behalf of the family, we wish to share an update on the current situation. Vika and Tanya (Vlad's sisters) are in Portugal, actively working on bringing Vlad home and managing necessary documentation and administrative tasks. Tentatively, the memorial services are scheduled for December 15 in Etobicoke; further details will be provided upon confirmation with the cemetery and Vika and Tanya's return from Portugal.

The funds from the GoFundMe campaign have been transferred to Iouri Malkov (Vika Mykytyak’s husband) to assist in organizing the funeral and memorial services.

It is with heavy hearts that we reach out to you today to seek your support for a family of our dear brother, son and friend Vlad Mykytyak. Vlad travelled to Portugal where he fell ill, and despite the doctors fighting hard for his life, Vlad passed away on November 16, 2023 in a beautiful city of Vila do Conde at 11:30 EST. Vlad left behind his mother, Nataliya Mykytyak, his dad Bogdan Mykytyak, two of his beloved sisters: Viktoriya and Tetyana Mykytyak as well as countless number of friends…

Vlad was a cherished member of a Ukrainian community, known for his warm smile, generosity, and unwavering support for those around him. He had many friends along all walks of life and his sudden passing has left a void that can never be filled!

Collectively, we want to honour his memory by ensuring that he receives a proper farewell and are looking for your support to raise funds to help Mykytyak family with the expenses associated with transportation and funeral services.

The memorial services will be announced at a later date.
