On Tuesday morning 3rd of March Chloe, a mother of three, was brutally attacked by a stranger who entered her apartment uninvited.

Chloe, a busy portrait and celebrity photographer, was working at her laptop when a man entered her apartment and immediately struck her in the face and head. Those who know Chloe would be aware that she is a keen and able boxer. This likely saved her life as she was able to protect her head from catastrophic injuries. Once in a stranglehold on the ground and unable to breathe, Chloe recalls thinking her death was imminent but in that moment decided to reach for the man's most vulnerable body parts and then somehow managed roll to the side and escape.

The attacker, allegedly a meth addict with a history of violence against women, was shot dead by the police a short time later.

Chloe has undergone surgery this week for injuries sustained in the attack.

We are raising funds for Chloe to enable her to recover, without financial pressures, from the injuries, surgery and the trauma. Chloe is a busy and hardworking freelance photographer and as we know, freelancers do not receive sick leave. Additionally, Chloe’s apartment became a crime scene, with breakages (and blood!) plus she had to surrender her mobile phone to the police as part of the initial investigation.

Funds raised will be used to 1. support Chloe during a period of non-earning 2. Enable Chloe adequate recovery time before returning to her regular working schedule 3. Clean up / fix the apartment that she occupies with her family and pets 4. Pay for a new mobile phone. 5. Additional medical expenses if they arise.
