VICTOR'S URGENT SURGERY
Donation protected
As many of you know, my brother Victor had a diving accident in 1992 which left him with a fractured skull, requiring more than a month in the hospital and plates put in his forehead and neck. God’s hand was on him during the accident and recovery and by His grace Victor suffered no major impact to his brain function or mobility, which his medical team acknowledged could only be due to God’s miraculous intervention.
For some time, Victor has been complaining of severe headaches and one of his eyes progressively started to droop. He recently went to the emergency room and it was discovered he has a mass behind his right eye that is approximately the size of a golf ball. It is attaching itself to his brain and pressing against his eye and brow bone. It is believed it’s somehow a product of the original surgery done back then and has been slowly growing over many years but has recently increased it rate of growth. THE DOCTORS HAVE TOLD HIM THERE'S NO MORE ROOM FOR IT TO GROW AND IF IT'S NOT REMOVED ASAP, IT MAY BURST, WHICH WOULD POSSIBLY LEAVE HIM LOSING HIS SIGHT OR HIS LIFE.
His medical team decided to do a TWO-PART SURGERY, scheduling THE FIRST ONE TO BE DONE TOMORROW MORNING (12/9/2020) in order to remove the mass, remove the plate (put in at the time of his original surgery in ’92), repair the bone the mass was pressing up against and has mis-shaped, and put in a temporary plate. The second surgery will take place sometime in January to remove the temporary plate and put in the new permanent one.
Victor works as a shuttle driver at an airport in the Fort Worth area and leading up to this ordeal he has been working an extremely reduced number of hours as his hours have been drastically cut, first as a result of Covid impacts on the travel industry and more recently due to his inability to drive without blurred vision and extreme headaches caused by the mass.
Due to the two invasive surgeries, HE WILL BE REQUIRED TO BE OUT OF WORK FOR MORE THAN A MONTH. This was an unexpected medical expense for him leaving him with 2 DEDUCTIBLES TO MEET as well as all copays involved because each stage takes place in a different calendar year. As a result of this, I felt compelled to reach out to get him some help. If you would like to bless him with his medical and recovery expenses, he would be so blessed and grateful... More importantly, please keep him in your prayers! All donations are welcome.... Thank you!
