Vern & Bonnie cancer treatment bills

I met Vern and Bonnie when my mom and James, their son, started dating after my parents got a divorce. They have been nothing shy of awesome to my family and I. They were always positive and welcoming. Really made us feel like a part of the family. Vern is a Vietnam veteran. He has type 2 diabetes as a side effect from agent orange. Last year he was diagnosed with Pancreatic cancer. He had to have surgery to get it removed and then was on chemotherapy. Unfortunately, the chemo was killing him so he was unable to complete treatment. The doctors now also believe that he has prostate cancer but can't do the test to check until he heals and gains some strength back.  Bonnie had breast cancer over 35 years ago, she has a mastectomy and almost didn't make it.  Last year she was diagnosed with breast cancer again. She was on radiation but the treatment made her throat swell and close up to the point where she couldn't eat and could barely breath. She is now on medication. The insurance company is only covering so much and won't cover some things at all. They both have had to not get medications because they can't afford them. In December of this year the insurance company will no longer cover Bonnie's medication. Just when things couldn't get any worse their hot water tank died and they had to purchase a new one. Spending more money they don't have. As their family, we just ask that if you can donate anything, even $1, it helps. Thank you all and God bless.
