Hi I’m Nicole and I'm setting up this page on behalf of best my friend, initially it was to fulfil the final wishes for their mother Vera, as well as the unfortunate reality that they have lost second parent.

Vera was diagnosed with cancer in March this year with plans for surgery treatment later this month and the horizon looked positive. Then suddenly 2 weeks ago she went to emergency in pain and has not returned home. When originally diagnosed it wasn’t not known at the time that it was fast and aggressive type of cancer and became stage 4 in less than 2 months. For the past 2 weeks there has been a daily change in the journey and has been managed so well by her children with Vera’s direction so that they too could process the information as a family.

Vera is a beautiful soul and I’m so lucky to say I’ve known her my entire life. She has the largest heart and so loyal and the most important thing is her health wellness and her family. If you know her she has the warmest smile and always listens.

It’s absolutely unfair that Vera is on this journey and shattering for this loving family to deal with cancer again.

The final stages of her journey were sudden and unexpectedly fast, her wish was to return home for the last time and receive care.

Michelle and Michael have been so brave with the sudden change and uncontrollable information they have received each day for the past 2 weeks. With a heavy heart Vera passed away with her family by her side in hospital and she is now at peace and no more pain.

This now means for Michelle and Michael they are planning a funeral for their last parent plus manage some time to grieve. This page is set up to provide them with some financial relief the bills and now funeral costs would be conversations they required so soon, and sooner than they could have ever planned for or imagined.
