Mobile Shower for the Homeless in Clare
Donation protected
Hi my name is Fiona Faulkes and I need your help!
In Ennis, Co. Clare there is nowhere for homeless people to get a shower.
The MOBILE SHOWER is a community project to provide a service to address this.
The basic idea is to buy a lightweight caravan and have it converted into a wet room.
Assisted access ♿
It will meet health and safety requirements and be appropriately insured.
I need to buy a towing caravan that is structurally sound and watertight and a local company has quoted 8000 euros to do the conversion.
The MOBILE SHOWER can be towed to appropriate locations in Ennis offering free showers to the homeless community.
l believe all people deserve to be treated with dignity and have access to washing facilities.
Having a shower can reignite a feeling of self-worth, restore some confidence and help a rough sleeper become less conspicuous.
A simple step towards leading a more sustainable and healthy life.
