My father, John Grisham, was diagnosed with cancer on September 1, 2019. During the month of August, John was dramatically losing weight and constantly with a fever, but my mom and I thought it was from a gum infection. When we took him to the hospital, it was not a gum infection. It was leukemia. He immediately was transferred to SLU, a few days later he transferred to WashU and began chemotherapy. He has finished 5 round of chemo since then, spending weeks upon weeks in the hospital. Along with paying for chemotherapy, my family is burdened with the cost of multiple echo-cardiograms, EKG's, ICU visits, blood cultures, X-rays, etc. This fundraiser would help my family pay for his treatment, ER visits, and much more. I have waited many months to make this fundraiser, but as my family hits the 6 month mark since the diagnosis, I admit that we
do need support. Any size donation means the world to my family and is very, very appreciated.
