Supporting My Mom, Jessica, in Her Fight Against Breast Cancer
It’s hard to put into words what our family has been feeling lately. In September of this year my mom, Jessica, has been diagnosed with stage 2 invasive tubulolobular carcinoma, a rare and unique form of breast cancer. Hearing those words was a complete shock to all of us, but if you know my mom, you know she’s a fighter. She’s facing this battle with the same strength, grace, and determination that she’s shown in every part of her life.
Mom will be having surgery this month, followed by ongoing treatments and recovery. While we’re so thankful the cancer was caught early, the road ahead will still be long and challenging. She’ll need to travel for her treatments and take time off work to focus on healing, which means the financial stress will start to build on top of everything else.
Anyone who knows my mom knows how special she is. She’s the most selfless person I’ve ever met. Ive always known her to be the first to offer help, encouragement, and is always the ready to jump in when someone is in need in every aspect of her life, never expecting anything in return. Asking for help is not something that comes easily to her, if at all, so I’m doing it for her. She deserves all the support in the world right now.
If you’re able to contribute, no matter the amount, it will go directly toward her medical expenses, travel for treatments, and household bills while she recovers. But just as important, your love, prayers, and words of encouragement mean more than you could ever know.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for helping us lift my mom up through this difficult time. So many of you have shown up in ways we never would have imagined and we are endlessly grateful for every bit of love and support sent her way.
With so much love and thanks,
The Keyser Family ❤️
