On behalf of a very dear family member who was involved in an accident and ended up with a broken hip, we are asking for your help as soon as possible.

Last week, while walking to his car, this individual was hit by a teenager on a hover board in the parking lot of a Ralph’s store in Orange County, California, and ended up with a broken hip. He was taken to the hospital and had surgery on the hip immediately. Now only a few days post-op, the hospital is discharging him without sending him to rehab, which he desperately needs, due to the fact that all rehab facilities that they work with are full. His extreme pain has not decreased, and he can barely walk with a walker. Neither he nor his wife have worked in the past few days and she has stayed with him, but she can’t stay home any longer. She needs to start work and make some money for both of them; they were already in debt before this accident. They urgently need to either find a rehab center on their own or find someone to stay with him during the day, but either way, they are already without resources, and insurance will not cover these costs.

At this point, we don’t know the extent of his treatments, but we know he needs physical therapy and a daytime caregiver as soon as possible, and we have chosen this fundraising goal conservatively. We appreciate all the contributions you can make. Thank you in advance from his whole family.
