Urgent: Legal Help to Prevent Dad's Deportation
Donation protected
These are our parents. They came here when they were teenagers from Mexico and have not been able to go back since. They created a whole life here and gave birth to six of us, ages 19-5. Brisa is the oldest and she works as a pharmacist while studying radiology. I, am 18, and work full time as a server while studying computer science and psychology. Shared is 14. She just started high school, but she works hard to help out with my younger siblings alongside cooking and cleaning and maintaining her grades up in school. Jason is 12, and he just started middle school but swears he’s gonna be a football player one day. Kendra is 7, and is a gifted student who aspires to be a teacher one day. And Daleyza is 5. She is autistic but has the strength of a grown adult and doesn’t let anyone step over her. Both of our parents work two jobs to make ends meet, and even that isn’t enough sometimes. But, they work hard, and so do all my siblings, and we do what we need to, to be able to ensure we have what we need. My dad was recently involved in a traffic stop in Gainesville, GA, and was, by the will of God, not deported on the spot. He was given a ticket and has court on March 12th. We need to hire a lawyer to hopefully keep my dad from deportation. We’re asking for support in hiring an immigration lawyer so our parents and all six of us can stay in the US. They have worked too hard for too long to protect us and ensure we have every opportunity to succeed in this country. And it would be an insult to their hard work and sacrifice if we were to lose it all now. We don’t take what we have and what we’ve accomplished for granted, and we’re setting aside our pride in order to ask for help.
