Urgent Help for Dan's Life-Saving Treatment

As many of you may know, my cousin's husband has been battling bone cancer for almost 2.5 years now. For those of you who do not know Dan, he is a kind soul who would give you the shirt off his back if you needed it. Traditional cancer treatments are limited for chondrosarcoma, the type of cancer he has. So, his choices along the journey were also limited to radiation or amputation of his arm. He has been fighting to keep his arm as he is an extremely talented musician, so he chose to have radiation/proton therapy to treat the cancer. However, his battle has just gotten harder as the cancer has spread to his liver and spleen. That is the bad news. The good news is that there is a treatment center in Arizona that has had great success in not only treating stage 4 cancer like his but also helping patients become cancer-free.

The treatment center he will be working with is in Scottsdale, Arizona, and he will need to relocate there for 3-4 months of treatments. Treatment will occur 5 days a week, and these treatments will attack his cancer on many different levels. The types of treatments he will receive will be determined by a team at the Brio Center. The Brio Center uses a comprehensive, intense approach that is widely utilized and accepted outside the United States to treat cancer patients. They do not accept insurance, which allows them to provide more cutting-edge treatments. As you can imagine, this does not come without a price tag. This GoFundMe will provide the funding for Dan to receive the treatment he not only desperately needs but deserves, as well as lodging. The treatment center will provide transportation to and from where he will be staying on his treatment days. He will be at the center for 6-8 hours a day receiving multiple treatments. I can't stress enough that this center has had success with treating stage 4 cancer, and he needs this treatment to continue to be a husband, brother, cousin, brother-in-law, uncle, and friend to the many people who love him.

While the GoFundMe is set to an amount that will cover all treatments and living expenses for the entire treatment protocol, there is an urgency to begin the process and get Dan to Scottsdale ASAP! To do this, we will use the first $20,000 donated to cover the required deposits for the treatments, as well as the first month's rent for lodging. The sooner we can get to that first amount, the better for Dan. Everything collected after that will be used to finance his treatments and lodging. We will use this forum to provide updates and accounting for where all of your support is going.
