Courtney & Jason

Some friends of Courtney & Jason’s  would like to help them financially while they wait for her to be approved for disability.   As you all know, Courtney has been hospitalized many times in the past 12 months with a recurring infection and each one has taken more than 1 surgery to resolve.  Courtney has a rare form of Hyper IGE Syndrome.   Her immune system cannot avoid infections and most every one she gets,  involves a hospital stay with strong IV meds and most times, surgery.   She also undergoes a monthly IV treatment for this disease.   The unfortunate thing is Courtney’s body is becoming immune to the meds they use to treat her infections.  The Drs. have to try many meds to find what she responds to.   If you know Courtney - she has the sweetest disposition of anyone I know with a chronic disease.  All of the nurses love her because she’s so ‘easy’ to care for!  She helps the nurses stay on schedule with her meds, treatments, etc... and they appreciate it!   Please, even more importantly than financial support, please also support she & Jason with your prayers.  Jason, too, is on disability and cannot always get to the hospital to be with Courtney.  He does an awesome job of keeping their home going and the dogs taken care of for Courtney!  When someone can take him, he visits her regularly as well as her family.   Her present hospital stay is at 4 weeks this week.  :(
