Who We Are & Why This Means So Much to Us
Intercontinental Processing Group believes deeply in lifting up our community, especially the little humans who face the greatest obstacles to learning and growing. Every child deserves the tools, compassion, and dedicated support needed to communicate, gain independence, and thrive. When you see children and young kids with intellectual disabilities and autism working tirelessly every day to take their next developmental step, it is impossible not to be moved to action. We believe that inclusion is not just a concept—it is a fundamental right. That is why we are rallying our community, our friends, and our families to stand behind a transformative mission: The Neurological Institute Foundation (NIF).
About the Beneficiary: The Neurological Institute Foundation (NIF)
The Neurological Institute Foundation (NIF), based in Maryland, was established to champion, fund, and expand the vital work of the Instituto Neurológico de Guatemala. Founded in 1961 by a dedicated group of physicians and families, the Instituto has spent more than six decades serving low-income children and young people with intellectual disabilities and autism, impacting over 20,000 lives since its inception.
In 2025 alone, the Instituto delivered 140,745 specialized therapeutic and educational interventions, directly impacting 1,750 children and family members across Guatemala. Through its specialized autism initiative (PUNTEA), its vital developmental programs (Programa Ciclos), and its groundbreaking digital platform (PADI—Programa de Atención a Distancia Integral, backed by scientific research with NYU), the organization brings critical therapies directly to kids even in the most remote, rural communities.
Why We Need Your Help Today
Providing continuous, specialized multidisciplinary care—speech therapy, sensory integration, physical therapy, neurodevelopmental assessments, and early stimulation—requires sustained resources. The vast majority of the children served come from low-income families who cannot afford private clinical care.
Our fundraising target is $3,500 (part of our shared annual community relief effort, building on our collective milestones from last year). Every single dollar raised will go directly toward subsidizing therapy hours, sensory equipment, and specialized learning materials for these incredible kids.
How Your Donations Will Be Spent:
• Specialized Therapy Sessions: Subsidizing vital individual sessions in speech therapy, physical therapy, and occupational therapy for children with autism and developmental delays.
• Sensory Integration & Adaptive Tools: Providing sensory room equipment, motor skills tools, and adaptive educational materials tailored for neurodivergent children.
• Early Intervention & Developmental Screenings: Supporting infant and toddler stimulation (from 6 months of age) and early community developmental screenings (tamizajes) to identify risks early.
• PADI Distance Learning & Rural Inclusion: Funding digital educational kits and remote therapeutic accompaniment for families and children in vulnerable regional areas.
Fund Delivery & Transparency
Because The Neurological Institute Foundation (NIF) is an established 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, 100% of the funds allocated from this campaign will be transferred directly and securely from our organizer account to NIF's verified administrative fund. This ensures every dollar directly funds subsidized therapy sessions, clinical equipment, and student educational support at the Instituto Neurológico de Guatemala. We will post regular photo updates and milestones right here on this page.
