Good morning… I am unable to work due to an unexpected emergency surgery I underwent on July 23rd. I had an obstruction in my stomach and had 11 inches of my large intestine cut and removed. This was just a few days after my 1st chemo session. While having the surgery, I flatlined for 6 minutes on the operating table. I am a true miracle, and I am thankful and super grateful to have yet been given another chance to live. However, I have to wear an ostomy bag for 6 months to a year, and on top of it, continue chemo and radiation. I am not able to work for some time and am looking into programs which are time-consuming, and some have long waiting lists.
