In Kipp’s first full year back to work since the Entertainment Industry’s COVID shutdown, Kipp underwent extensive, invasive and lifesaving surgery, in June, from an out of nowhere abdominal medical emergency.

Thankfully, and incredibly, Kipp beat the odds to live through that surgery, but he’s now faced with a prolonged recovery. The bills he accrued during the shutdown, which he worked so hard to chip away when we reopened, are now mounting.

Many of us realize the physicality required to be a stagehand, the challenges of our industry’s twenty-two-month shutdown, and how blessed we are to have the plentiful work that summer provides. Unfortunately, Kipp doesn’t have that luxury. He fights each day to get healthier, but he remains unable to work.

It’s times like this that separate our industry from all others. We’re known for caring about one another!

In this case, the best way to help Kipp is to give what you can to help him get back on his feet.
