Hi! My name is Kenny! That's short for Kenmore. I am an 8 week old long haired Dachshund. All of my family at Animal Emergency Clinic Northeast named me Kenmore because I have a congenital heart defect known as a PDA, or Patent Ductus Arteriosis, that causes a heart murmur known as a "washing machine murmur". I was surrendered to AECNE because my first family, although they loved me VERY VERY much, could not afford the cost of the very expensive heart surgery I need to save my life. I am scheduled to have my very first appointment at the College of Veterinary Medicine at Texas A&M Univerisity (Whoop!) on Thursday, August 20, 2015 for imaging and to find out when I can have surgery. I have a GoFundMe account to fund my surgical costs. Any funds that are in excess of my medical costs will be donated to the Texas A&M University College of Veterinary Medicine or to Dachshund Rescue of Houston, Texas. I will accompanied by my veterinarian, Dr. Virginia Groemminger, and her wife, Angie Groemminger on my journey to Aggieland! Follow me on Facebook (Kenny Groemminger) for updates!
