Turner Family Hullbridge

Steve & Tiffanie Turner moved to Hullbridge in August 2022 to be nearer to family so they could provide help and support with looking after their two young boys, Hudson Moore Turner (18 mths) & Forrest Noble Turner (6 mths) Yes, Steve is a West Ham fan!

While awaiting a moving date last May, Steve at 36 years old, was diagnosed with colorectal cancer, he then began a 5-week course of radio and chemotherapy in the hope the tumour could shrink. After moving to Hullbridge he then had 4 rounds of chemotherapy which ended in November 2022. He was then given the news that the treatment had not been successful, so he needed to have radical, life changing surgery in January this year, which he is still recovering from. During the surgery further biopsies revealed that the cancer had spread to his liver and his stomach lining. The cancer is aggressive and although he is about to embark on further chemotherapy, he has been told that usual life expectancy is 2 years. Doctors are not always right! He is going to take part in any treatment/clinical trials on offer to do anything he can to prolong his life.

Obviously, this is devastating for any family. We are trying to come up with ideas on how Steve & Tiffanie can make memories which they can look forward to and enjoy and will give Hudson & Forrest photos/videos where they can see how much fun they have together!

Steve has been unable to work since starting chemotherapy last year, but his employers couldn’t have been more supportive. Tiffanie is on maternity leave now, but the future is uncertain, and she wants to spend as much time with Steve and the boys as she can.
