Last year I had dental surgery. That causes me to get sepsis, a systemic infection. I spent 11 days in the hospital and over a month on IV antibiotics 3 times a day. Over half of people with cancer who get sepsis die from it. Fortunately, I beat those odds!!

Unfortunately, it stressed my body so much that the cancer took off and grew like crazy.

The opportunity came up for Hal to be transferred to Colorado. My oncologist is here. We prayed hard about it and believe God led us to move here.

We have gone through much of the traditional western medicine treatments available in the US and needed to look into other options.

There is a clinic in Mexico doing integrative cancer treatments and getting very good results. My oncologist believes that some of those treatments, specifically localized and systemic hyperthermia and cryotherapy could be just what I need to finally heal the cancer I've been dealing with for the past 5 years. These treatments have been being used successfully in Europe for decades. The US has done multiple studies proving how effective they are. But, the FDA has yet to put their stamp on them. So, we have to travel out of the country to get them.

Five years of healing cancer. Five years of asking for love and support and prayers from friends and family, old and new, even strangers. Five years of spending everything we have to get me through this. Two years of asking for help. And, here I am, once again, asking for help. The clinic and these treatments are expensive. It is so very hard for me to ask for help. I don't mind being humble. I just know that everyone has their own lives, their own struggles.

So, here I am, asking for help. Love, prayers, and financial support.

I have no doubt I would not be here today, still kicking cancer's butt were out not for all the prayers, cards, texts, letters, checks... All of the love that keeps me going on my bad days. Thank you for all you have done for me. Please continue to love and support me.

My team is varied and strong. I wouldn't be here without them. Dr. Nasha Winters, 27+ year stage 4 cancer thriver, has given me much advice that has kept me in the game. Recently, she told me, that cancer patients die when they give up and let the cancer metabolically take over their bodies. I fully believe it. I'm not giving up. And, I'm humbling asking, again, for your continued love and support.

I have met Lisa last November.  She is my friend and a courageous breast cancer warrior.  I was impressed by her willingness to fight this illness and her perseverance with all her treatments and strict diet. She needs to go to Sanoviv Medical Institute in Mexico now to get new treatments which involve localized and systemic hyperthermia as well as cryotherapy. This hospital is very expensive, therefore she needs more funds and extra support.  Lisa is  a daughter, a wife, a sister. She is also  the mother of seven children ages 25,23,20, 20 12, 11 and 10. They  still want and  need their mother to be healthy and strong. I truly believe human beings have the capacity to support and help each other under any circumstance.
