The Speed Project Solo Mission

Peace every-body,
A full and open heart has led me here.
Black and brown people have always migrated through running as an act of survival, through relentless fear, devastation, and hunger. To feel truly seen and human in running is still a dangerous and painful reality for most of us & our communities.
I have been fortunate enough to make this choice, to run for peace, run for joy, run for love, and to without fear - to, run in a healed body. The journey ahead is a representation of just this, as I have unequivocally decided to run The Speed Project as a solo mission. I and those supporting me want this to be a community narrative, grass root storytelling for us by us. To do this, we are needing your support. Please help me take on this journey by giving what you can and sharing to those who can also help me accomplish this task. As my team and I work & navigate towards the many obstacles we will face, having the community’s support to help us fund and succeed for a greater purpose of bridging the space towards equitable wellness and opportunities for the marginalized will be universally felt & recognized.
The team that is backing me will all be people of color, taking on this challenge against pressures that has historically shown up for both athletes of color who have run The Speed Project in the past, and for the burdens experienced by all athletes of color in spaces otherwise dominated by whiteness. I am running this distance in rebellion to this fact.
340 miles of running not to live but living to run in all freedom for all bodies. Together.
in deepest gratitude,
