EMERGENCY SUPPORT FUND
This emergency support fund is being established to support our dear neighbor, Suzie (Ayonna) Suttles whose 14 year old daughter, Aliyah, was struck by an SUV on Halloween night as she was trick-or-treating with a friend north of Greensboro. By the time Suzie reached the hospital, her precious daughter had died.
Suzie, a single mom, moved to Pearl Mill Flats from Greensboro last spring with Aliyah after she found our community to be a friendly, safe, and happy place to raise her daughter. Aliyah was a gifted artist, actor, singer and piano player; and Suzie’s hope was to get her into Durham School of the Arts. Suzie, herself, was enrolling at NCCU to finish her own education.
We are all heartbroken and cannot fathom the pain of this mom. No parent should ever have the misfortune to receive such tragic news.
We hope that our thoughtful community can come together to help support Suzie, emotionally and financially, in this time of extreme grief and unimaginable loss. This struggling single mom needs our love, prayers, and support. Please give whatever and however you can—no amount is too small— and please share the link generously within your own communities.
It is our hope that the money that will be raised will ease Suzie's worries about immediate expenses during this difficult time.
Also, please kiss and hold your kids closer. Life is very fragile.
Thank you in advance,
The Pearl Mill Flats Community
