House Fire (Impacted multiple refugee families)

On 5/13/23, a multi-family home caught fire that housed multiple refugee families. All of these families lost their homes along with all of their belongings. Two of these families sustained multiple injuries. They have all been left with nothing but the clothes on their back. We are seeking to help these families who were severely injured and also displaced by this event.

A family of 5, who are refugees from Congo is currently being hosted by one of Refugee Dream Center's case managers. One family sustained serious injuries and remains in the hospital. The other family is being hosted by another refugee at this moment. And lastly, a single refugee woman from Somalia who was not home but did lose all of her belongings.

Our case workers are currently in constant contact with the affected families and the homeowner, who is also a Somalian refugee.
