Tour de 4 is a brand new cycling initiative, born from Sir Chris Hoy’s vision to change perceptions around stage 4 cancer following his own diagnosis. Encouraging those affected by cancer, directly or indirectly, to come together for this inaugural event, anyone who can ride a bike is encouraged to take part and help challenge perceptions and raise vital funds for cancer charities across the UK.
My sister has volunteered at Friends of ANCHOR in support of The ANCHOR Unit (Aberdeen and North Centre for Haematology, Oncology and Radiotherapy) for seven years now, providing person-centred wellbeing services for those undergoing treatment as well as investment in medical equipment and pioneering research and so, as Aberdeen is my home town, I would like to support the Friends of ANCHOR with their invaluable and tireless work.
Friends of ANCHOR works alongside the NHS, striving to give every North-east cancer and haematology patient access to the highest quality care and support, and the best possible treatment, throughout their diagnosis.
Thanks to the kindness of donors and fundraisers, the charity can provide its wellbeing services completely free of charge, within the hospital setting and at home. As well as investing in research and equipment, advancing cancer treatment and diagnosing cancer earlier.
Do you want to join me in making a difference? Thank you in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to me.
Please donate and help a movement that's pedalling towards a future with better cancer treatments and outcomes.
