Toni's Ankle Surgery & Recovery

My name is Toni.

On June 22nd, I went to a friend's house to pick up a cat tree. When coming down the steps, my right ankle gave out, and I missed the remaining steps, landing on my left ankle, which proceeded to snap. Then I landed on the ground.

An ambulance was called, and when I was put on the stretcher, my ankle dislocated. It was the most excruciating pain I've experienced. I was taken to the hospital, where I was x-rayed and then sedated for my bones to be reset.

In my left foot, I currently have 3 broken bones and joint damage. This will require surgery, which will be on Monday, June 30th.

My right ankle is also sprained. I am basically bed-bound for a minimum of 4 weeks.

Unfortunately, my job does not offer paid time off, sick days, or anything in this matter, and since I can't work, I have zero ways to pay my bills.

I can NOT fail my kids. My mind is a mess right now, and I am struggling physically, mentally, and financially.

This last year of our lives has already been rough, going through a very nasty divorce, losing my house, attorney fees, having to find a place for me and my kids until we can get through this all, and finding a job. I've been trying to be the best mom that I can be.

Every day is hard, but we were going forward, and this is a major setback. I just need help.

My mental health is struggling, my mind is racing, and I'm scared of having to have surgery and not being able to provide the basics for my kids, along with food, etc.

If anyone can help, even a little bit, it would be a tremendous blessing.

Surgery is done and I am back home.

Boy did they lie about the nerve block I woke up in PAIN and I was begging for it to stop

He cut both sides, plate and screws on one side and screws on the other side. Im in bed resting with my foot elevated and just hoping that this eases up in the near future.
