Did you know that over half of the world's rainforest has disappeared in the last 70 years? We are Else & Lonneke, and we want to take action. We hope you'll join us, as, together, we cán make a difference. We can sustainably protect one of most diverse places on earth: the rainforest of Costa Rica. By teaming up with Adopt Rainforest (www.adopteerregenwoud.nl) we ensure that our and your efforts and donations are spent the best way possible. Adopt Rainforest is a Dutch non-profit organization that, together with Work with Nature (located in Costa Rica), ensures realistic and sustainable protection of the rainforest, and does so in cooperation with locals. We are convinced their approach to save and rebuild rainforest is durable, realistic and, in the end, is a great example of how we all can constructively contribute to the world's future!
Adopt Rainforest needs our help to secure a vital piece of rainforest in the center of their reserve. This area and its inhabitants is threatened by the plan to create a paved road nearby. This wil endanger this beautiful part of the forest (as paved roads increase the chance of both logging and hunt significantly). We want to help them obtain the last remaining 15.000 euro to secure the purchase of this land. Will you join in helping them?
