Removal of Asbestos from our new premises

We are a group of volunteers who run a food bank situated at Failsworth Town Hall, Manchester within the basement. We are currently supporting approximately 250 individuals per week including children and babies with food parcel items, essential toiletry items, baby milk & nappies. We also provide Half term lunch box ingredients. Furthermore, we also work closely with local primary schools within our catchment area and are supported by some of our local churches and their parishioners.  

We have now been fortunate enough to have secured a much larger premises which once the asbestos has been professionally removed and the building is also insulated we can move in to our new home. The Zion church building has been leased to us very kindly via The Ebeneezer Church, Failsworth on a rent free tenancy agreement for 10 years.

Once we have relocated we will be able to reach out via our surplus distribution platforms and take more surplus food donations, this will mean we can then support more individuals.

 We are currently supported via Morrisons -Failsworth, Aldi - Ashton, Middleton and Stalybridge, Lidl - Ashton, Getir - Ashton, Sainsburys - Denton and The Bread and Butter Project.

Once we have relocated we will also be setting up community events to tackle social isolation, financial and welfare benefits advice sessions.

We really need the publics assistance to help us reach our target so we can arrange for the asbestos to be removed and relocate to our premises. Please consider making a donation no matter how big or small.
