Hey Everyone,

I’m Emily, and I’m organising this fundraiser on behalf of Tina, my brother-in-law’s mum, and her family during an incredibly difficult and heartbreaking time.

Tina was recently diagnosed with an aggressive neurological disorder known as Creutzfeldt–Jakob disease (CJD) just before Christmas.

Sadly, this rare and fatal brain disease has no cure and progresses rapidly.

The diagnosis has come as a huge shock to the entire family. It’s unfathomable how cruel life can be sometimes, and hard to truly comprehend that it’s all happening.

Right now, what matters most to Tina is spending as much time as possible with her loved ones while she still can. The purpose of this fundraiser is to help make that possible-covering the costs of time away together, special days out, and travel expenses so loved ones can visit at short notice. It will give everyone the chance to be together and create memories at a time when time is very limited. 

In addition to this, the fundraiser will help with funeral costs and easing the financial weight on the family when the time comes.

Any contribution, no matter the size, would mean the absolute world.
