Zay Fire Disaster Fund



Last night on June 30, 2018 Monzavia Bray, someone near and dear to my heart, lost all his earthly possessions when an electrical shortage caused a fire that eventually engulfed his entire complex in flames. 

Zay Bray has been in foster care since the age of 3 and has lived through some of the most depraved conditions imaginable. In the three years I have worked with him, he has survived the passing of his biological father and cousin to suicide along with the deaths of several of his close friends. The kid just can’t catch a break and it pains me to see him in such a vulnerable state. 

As we celebrated his 21 birthday earlier this week, zay bray has aged out of care and is no longer entitled to the services and support being in state care may have previously afforded him. He literally has nothing. He lost everything including everything tied to the skateboard company he started to support himself- Switchboard Stance Co.

After discussing the circumstances with him, we believe it best to move forward with a gofundme campaign to raise $2000 to give him enough monetary resources to begin piecing his life back together. The funds will be used for his immediate needs of housing, transportation, food, and everything in between.

Donations of furniture, toiletries, MARTA cards, gift cards will be great to give as well.
