BE A SUPERHERO -
Support families who have lost a child

Theodore (Theo) Ray Johnson was a charismatic, silly, energetic, happy, adorable (Theo-dorable) 3-year old boy with large brown eyes that were bursting with love. He was one of those unique and special souls who everyone wanted to be near.
The death of a child is frequently called the ultimate tragedy. Nothing can be more devastating. After a family suffers such a loss, many compartments of their lives can become unmanageable. It has been said that coping with the death and loss of a child requires some of the hardest work one will ever have to do. I have witnessed this firsthand (twice now) with Theo's beloved family.
HOW CAN YOU HELP?
The Theo The Great Foundation* has been developed in honor of Theo in order to help families who have endured a similar tragic loss of a child (or children). Donations will be allocated toward providing these devastated families with both emotional and financial aid.
PLEASE CONSIDER MAKING A DONATION TODAY. Your generous donations will help more than you know....to those who are suffering worse than you can imagine.
*The Theo the Great Foundation is awaiting it's official 501(c)(3) status from the IRS. Once achieved, all GoFundMe donations will be moved to the 501(c)(3) account and will become tax-deductible.*

RUNNING FOR THEO (Join or Donate to "Team Theo")
My name is Charles, and Theo was my precious Godson. In the midst of grieving his loss, I began to feel a sublime force guiding me in re-prioritize my life, and compelling me to create a more impactful way to honor Theo and his family. In the process, I uncovered a newfound strength and clarity that I hadn't felt in years. I like to think this was generated by the power of Theo The Great , who is proudly watching over me. He wants me to be a superhero, just like him.
Therefore, I'm going to use my new "superpowers" to make a running resurgence (I've been unable to run a full marathon in over 7 years due to injuries)! I'll be running two full marathons in Theo's honor:
- The first of these marathons will be a 26.2 mile solo run on my 40th birthday on January 24, 2019. Yes, I'll be running this by myself, battling the cold and the snow and whatever other elements I'm challenged with. Nobody said being a superhero was going to be easy!
- The second marathon will be the Milwaukee Marathon on April 6, 2019 This will hopefully be a super heroic Boston-qualifying effort. Anyone who's inspired to join me in running this marathon and raising funds for the Foundation will become a member of "Team Theo." (More to come on Team Theo shirts and other wear-ables).
----- I would be honored if you would support my efforts by making a $26.20 or a $52.40 donation ($1 for every mile), or whatever amount you chose to give-----
My great friends Dave (pictured - 2nd from right), and Ben (pictured - far-right), have already joined me on Team Theo. Not only have these two superheros committed to run the Milwaukee Marathon, but they'll also be helping to raise funds for the Theo the Great Foundation in the process! Their friendship & support means more than I can express.

Theo and the Theo The Great Foundation THANK YOU in advance for your kindness and generosity in donating to this deserving cause.
Every little bit will go a long way in helping a grieving family recover after the tragic loss of their cherished angel.

Theo loved to dress up as a superhero and fight evil. In doing so, he earned the character name Theo The Great. He would animatedly perform his battles, entertaining and captivating an audience in the process. His childlike exuberance would fill the room with pure joy.

Tragically, Theo The Great fought his last battle on earth on August 5, 2018. The incident that took Theo's life was sudden, and
it has left his family and community in mourning.
