Tenemos una historia urgente y especial que compartir con todos ustedes. Nuestra increíble mamá y abuelita, Sandrita, está pasando por un momento muy difícil debido a varios aneurismas cerebrales, que le provocan grandes dolores, aunque como buena mamá no le gusta confesarlos y que ponen en riesgo su vida. Si no conseguimos el dinero para realizar una cirugía Sandrita podría tener un accidente cerebrovascular con un 70% de probabilidades de no recuperarse nunca y de ver su llama apagada.

Pero esta no es solo una historia triste; es una historia que resalta por qué el mundo necesita más personas como ella.

Sandrita es una de esas personas que simplemente ilumina el mundo. Ha dedicado su vida a ayudar a los demás y a hacer que todos se sientan amados. Nacida en Riobamba, Sandrita se animó a viajar muy joven a los Estados Unidos, y emprender el sueño de tantas personas de trabajar honestamente y labrar un futuro digno para su familia. Durante años acogió a varias personas en su hogar hasta que ellos mismos puedan construir su propio camino. Luego, por cosas de la vida, regresó a su Ecuador natal, donde se ha dedicado el emprendimiento, siendo la persona detrás de la marca de ropa infantil Baby Wonders.

Sin embargo, su obra más grande ha ser sido una mamá increíble para nosotras, sus tres hijas, y una abuela que llena de amor a sus nietos.

Ella es un ejemplo viviente de que ser mamá es una causa para dar y entregar amor y luz al mundo. Siempre está dispuesta a extender una mano amiga y ha ayudado a tanta gente a lo largo de los años que es imposible contar todas las vidas que ha tocado.

Durante la pandemia de COVID-19 en 2020 transformó su hogar en un centro de acopio para que la ONG QUID Ecuador pudiera operar y distribuir kits de alimentación urgente a más de 200 familias de bajos recursos. Incluso en los momentos más oscuros, se sumó a los esfuerzos para dar luz al mundo.

Quienes la conocen llegan a conocer la ternura y el amor sincero. El hogar de Sandrita siempre ha sido un espacio en el cual sentirse bienvenido, donde las risas y la música no faltan, y en el cual sentir un refugio seguro. No queremos que esto se pierda y anhelamos que más personas puedan llegar a sentir el cariño de nuestra mamá y abuelita.

Ahora, Sandrita, necesita nuestra ayuda. Estamos buscando recaudar $35,000 para afrontar los costos de operación que necesita de manera urgente, gastos médicos adicionales y recursos adicionales para su recuperación. Cada dólar cuenta, y cualquier contribución, grande o pequeña, nos acercará a nuestro objetivo.

The world needs Sandrita, help us keep her light shining

Hello everyone!

We have an urgent and special story to share with all of you. Our amazing mom and grandma, Sandrita, is going through a very difficult time due to several brain aneurysms, which cause her great pain, although as a good mom she doesn't like to confess them and they put her life at risk. If we don't get the money to perform a surgery Sandrita could have a stroke with a 70% chance of never recovering and seeing her flame extinguished.

But this is not just a sad story; it is a story that highlights why the world needs more people like her.

Sandrita is one of those people who simply lights up the world. She has dedicated her life to helping others and making everyone feel loved. Born in Riobamba, Sandrita was encouraged to travel to the United States at a very young age, and to undertake the dream of so many people to work honestly and build a decent future for her family. For years she took several people into her home until they could build their own path. Then, as life would have it, she returned to her native Ecuador, where she has dedicated herself to entrepreneurship, being the person behind the children's clothing brand Baby Wonders.

However, her greatest work has been being an incredible mother to us, her three daughters, and a grandmother who fills her grandchildren with love.

She is a living example that being a mom is a cause to give and deliver love and light to the world. She is always willing to extend a helping hand and has helped so many people over the years that it is impossible to count all the lives she has touched.

During the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020 she transformed her home into a collection center so that the NGO QUID Ecuador could operate and distribute urgent food kits to more than 200 low-income families. Even in the darkest moments, she joined the efforts to give light to the world.

Those who know her come to know tenderness and sincere love. Sandrita's home has always been a space in which to feel welcome, where laughter and music are not lacking, and in which to feel a safe haven. We do not want this to be lost and we hope that more people can come to feel the affection of our mom and grandmother.

Now, Sandrita needs our help. We are looking to raise $35,000 to help her urgently needed surgery costs. Every dollar counts, and any contribution, big or small, will bring us closer to our goal.
