The struggle that so many face when fighting this disease is truly real and can be extremely devastating at times. Along with physical and emotional turmoil, cancer brings financial burdens in various ways that makes it truly hard for those fighting it to survive. As my kind, strong and beautiful wife Kimberly Y'vonne Wild Coakley begins her battle with breast cancer by making a scary yet empowering decision to have a double mastectomy, I come to realize how much this decision will impact our life financially and unfortunately know that we will need help to get by. Asking for help in this situation is not easy for either of us to do but regardless of the hit on our pride we need the added support to get through this. I do work and have been putting into place at my job everything I can to maximize what I can bring in to help us. But it honestly will not be enough given that I work in the service industry and the hours are just not there. Along with that, my wife Kim also works in the service industry and her company does not offer paid medical leave. Times are tough for everyone and I truly understand that, but, when fighting cancer and especially when recovering from surgery, the last thing you need is constant worry and stress of making ends meet. Her surgery is in the first week of December and I am looking to raise money to be a cushion that we can use to pay bills and medical expenses, buy groceries and contribute to her well-being. The doctors have stated that she will be out of work for multiple months during her recovery due to the extent of the operation, multiple reconstructive surgeries and intense physical therapy, leaving the financial burden purely up to me. As hard as I plan to work, I will also need time to take care of her since she will be unable to do much of anything especially in the first month. Sadly, neither of us have any family living in Colorado being that all of them live in Texas so unfortunately their ability to lend aid and support is severely limited. So, to get through this trying time in our life and to give my wife the peace of mind for a positive and healthy recovery, I am asking that anyone that knows her, knows us or knows how truly real the struggle with cancer can be to please donate to this breast cancer battle fund. It honestly doesn't have to be much, even the smallest gesture will help us.**If you would like to read her personal story about breast cancer that she posted on Facebook then use the URL link below**
