Hi, my name is Cameron Burgess and I am the captain of the Ohio State University first ever Earthquake Engineering Research Institute (EERI) Seismic Design Team. I am a senior civil engineering major at the Ohio State University and our team is made up of 6 undergraduate civil engineers. Our team’s project proposal for the competition has been selected and we have been chosen to compete at the National EERI Seismic Competition in Seattle, Washington.

We have reached out and are receiving limited assistance from the Engineering Department and other University Resources but we still need much assistance to be able to compete in Nationals April 9-12. This opportunity gives us as undergraduates real experience with structural and earthquake design and project management in a real world scenario. Not only as Captain of the Seismic team this year but also the President of the Ohio State Eeri Student chapter I look forward to the future growth of this program.
