THE NATURE OF SIN (TV SERIES) FUNDRAISER CAMPAIGN

Greetings. I hope this message finds you in good health and of sound mind.

My name is Drey Nelson – the creator, writer, producer, and lead male actor in the forthcoming television series, The Nature of Sin.

Before I get into the logistics, allow me to tell you a little bit about me.

Prior to pursuing a career in film and television, I played basketball both at the collegiate and professional levels. My career was unfortunately cut short due to an MCL injury. After a year of rehab, both physically and mentally, I found my next calling in the world of the performing arts.

I started off doing a multitude of live theatre productions. Which then transitioned into short films and web series projects. As I continued to develop and hone my craft, I was able to land consistent auditions and roles for film and television. All of this took place while being self-managed.

With the industry constantly changing and evolving, especially with the current writer’s strike, actors that are under the radar will have an even more difficult time landing jobs and opportunities. I wholeheartedly believe that launching this project will enhance the careers of working actors like myself, and create opportunities for aspiring actors and crew members to be.

This will be no easy task, but with your help and support, my team and I plan to deliver an unforgettable story.

Now. Allow me to tell you what this show is all about:

The Nature of Sin is a 10-episode television series that follows the complicated and controversial lives of former lovers, Sincere Cruze and Lucille Dean.

After years apart, former basketball standout, Sincere Cruze, and rising district attorney, Lucille Dean, re-enter each other’s lives at the worst possible time. After a tough breakup in

their junior year at Georgetown, the two go their separate ways to experience life without each other for the first time since childhood. When her father is mysteriously murdered on the eve of a big trial, Lucille’s life spirals out of control. Not only must she cope with the emotional trauma of losing the only man she’s ever loved, but the reality of losing the man that loved her first. As human nature takes its course, both find themselves in a maze filled with betrayal, heartbreak, confusion, secrets, and ugly truths that have the potential to either lead them to redemption, or complete self-destruction.

Next Steps:

Our intent is to present the series to multiple streaming platforms. Including the likes of Peacock, HBO Max, Amazon Prime, and Hulu. Proper marketing will play a huge role in that. We plan to film at least two episodes a month for the remainder of the year, with hopes that the entire season will be available no later than the first quarter of 2024, if not before.

What We Need:

Our ultimate goal is to meet or exceed our target amount to ensure we have the proper resources to execute this mission at the highest level possible.

What Funds Will Be Used For:

- Marketing Materials + Promotion (Including trailers for each episode, posters, graphic design, etc.)

- Travel + Lodging expenses for out-of-town cast and crew members

- Makeup Artist, Wardrobe, and Hair Stylists

- Daily/weekly rate for cast and crew members

- Replacing and/or upgrading film equipment

- Meals for cast and crew members

- Fees for site locations

- Submission fees for film festivals

- Security for filming locations

- Props and set design

- Post-Production Editing

LEVEL 2 - $500-$700

The donor receives a by-name thank you in the credits. A promotional poster signed by the cast. Product placement for one episode. Ten tickets to the series premiere.

LEVEL 3 - $1000 or More.

The donor receives a by-name thank you in the credits – including Executive Producer credit. A promotional poster signed by the cast. Product placement within the series. Ten tickets to the series premiere + Priority Seating. An official series plaque acknowledging the donor and/or business for their contribution.
