The Meyer Family
Donation protected
On February 17, 2017 there was a traumatic incident that happened at the Edmonton Law Courts resulting in a Sheriff, Marc Meyer, being severely injured in the facial region. Marc is in the ICU still, but is continuing to improve. Marc will be in the hospital for a while and it is still unknown of when he will be out. Marc and his family have a long road ahead, and our continued support will go a long way for them. The Meyer family will be struggling financially due to being a one income family as Kendra is a full time student attending Grant Macewan University for Nursing. Marc’s wife Kendra will need to be by Marc side to support him in the days to come, and with that comes uninsured expenses. The Meyer family will need all the help we can give them and in any way possible so this is just a small way all of us can help the Meyer family.
Marc started with the Sheriffs Department in 2012. He has worked in various areas of the department in his career. In 2016, Marc was promoted to Sergeant at the Edmonton Law Court’s.
For those of you who know or don’t know Marc he is a man who always has something funny/ smart ass to say but when it comes down to all seriousness he always puts the needs of others ahead of his own regardless of the circumstance and works hard. Marc and Kendra got married in 2011. They have a fur baby named Arlo. If you ever had a conversation with Marc he would always talk about Kendra, and the love he has for her. He loves the outdoors and yearly will try and go on a bike trip with Kendra as she takes in the scenery of riding on the back of the bike.
This is just a little bit of who Marc Myer is. Marc and Kendra will get through this together but with a little bit of help from everyone; it will help them for the months and years to come while they take this road to recovery.
