The Lopes’ After the Fire Fund

On Memorial Day Weekend, my best friend’s house burned down, and sadly, it has been deemed a total loss by the insurance company.
Tiffany, her husband Mattlock and their baby boy Banner were out of town, the older three children were not at the home, and the dog sitter and dogs that were there escaped unhurt, thank God. We are so thankful no one was hurt and no life was lost.
Nonetheless, this is a devastating blow to the Lopes. Tiffany and I have been friends for more than 30 years, and I don’t know how else to help her family other than raising money for basic necessities as they begin the long rebuilding process. They have the clothes on their backs and their vehicles, so there’s lots of stuff to buy in the coming days, weeks and months.
They’ll need diapers and wipes and formula and baby toys and toiletries and clothing and dog food (among many other things) while they stay with family and then more of this (plus food) when they find a temporary home. And when their house is finished, they’ll need new everything - from towels and sheets to pillows and rugs to appliances and furniture (again, among many other things).
Any amount you can contribute would be helpful, even $5 or &10 - it all adds up, and it will be put to good use by a family that would help anyone in these same shoes. Prayers, good vibes and lots of love are also welcome, as the whole family goes through this difficult time.
