THE JULIANA SUPERSTAR MAGICAL HEALING FUND

Hey everyone, thank you for visiting the Juliana Superstar Magical Healing Fund.

It’s out of an abundance of the great love we all share for Juliana that we have found ourselves here on this donation page. It means a lot that you are here.

It’s been an incredibly difficult several weeks for Juliana, who has been given a really awful unexpected diagnosis, one which she and everyone who loves her are still struggling to understand. Juliana has been diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer that has metastasized in her liver. She has been told that it is inoperable and incurable. Chemo treatments are an option to help prolong her life and she is planning to do that. However, the doctors are saying she has anywhere from 1-5 years. This is something unimaginable to be told and Juliana is struggling with the weight of it all.

What I do want to say is that there is power in focusing on the positive, and that there is always hope. This is important to Juliana too. She has had more than enough bad news then she can really bear these last weeks. So, let us focus on that hope and the possibilities, to help us set a course towards healing and positivity for our beloved Juliana. Together we can make a difference.

Juliana will be seeking at least one second opinion (perhaps more) outside of Kaiser, which will cost money. Should she chose to move out of network, that will cost a lot to do, at least until she can change over to insurance that will support any move like that. Aside from that possibility, there are still many out of pocket costs for cancer patients, that can amount to the tens of thousands per year, because as we all know, insurance does not pay for everything. Additionally, it will be important to just be able to help Juliana support a regime of health both mentally and physically. This is vitally important to her, because Juliana wants to focus on living and healing. So, this fund will be for any and all things to help her do just that, in whatever form these things may take.

As Juliana’s roommate in San Francisco for some 12 years, I count myself very fortunate. She has become one of my most beloved friends. We have shared many fun times together and she has taught me so much. I admire her immensely for the incredible person and artist she is. I love her even more. So for my love, and your love of Juliana, I am sounding the horn and calling all the tribes. It’s time to set the fires ablaze and rally the people to circle our star and embrace her with all the love and support she will be needing from everyone, as we help her navigate through this journey.
