My name is Melanie and I have the pleasure of molding the young (pre-k) minds of New Brunswick.  Sometimes my work continues even when I'm not within the four walls of my classroom. This is one of those cases....

I first met members of the Jimenez family, total of 6, when I had two of their sons in a summer program I worked over two summers. They were some of the nicest, well mannered boys in the program and this year I have another son as a student. I really got to get to know their parents this year and understand why they have such great kids. They are truly the light of their lives but on Wednesday, November 30th, that light was dimmed when their son Christian was in a horrible accident. He was struck by a vehicle in the crosswalk near his school. He is in critical condition and every minute he's still here with us is a miracle in itself. His parents are in the midst of a great finacial burden because they have not left his bedside or their other children.

I'm starting this with a goal of $5000 so they can have one less thing to worry about and focus on staying at their son's side. I know with the holidays closing in  it's hard finacially for everyone, but every $1 counts. 

I've already presented the Jimenez family with $200 my awesome coworkers and I donated but it isn't enough. Please help me help them. They will be more grateful than you know. As a parent I can't begin to imagine the road ahead. Will you please help the Jimenez family?
