The Guess Family Through MS Diagnosis

Hi! My name is Eric Ramseur, or most of you know me as Chuck. I'm raising $10,000 to help a family that is near and dear to my heart, the Guess family. My cousin, Drew Guess, was diagnosesd with multiple sclerosis in late-2021. He is married to a wonderful woman, and a former classmate of mine, Rebecca Guess. They have a sweet little man named Luke, yes, after Skywalker. Drew had been working in the school system in his area before the diagnosis and even after, until he was no longer physically able to work. He has been going through the paperwork and redtape connected with receiving disability and social security, but will still need assistance as he works all of that out. He informed me that he is about $1000 short per month. So, I'm essentially looking to raise $1,000 dollars per month for the next 10 months. The prayer is that at the end of this period, the funds through Social Security and his other benefits will be sufficient, or at least closer to taking care of the Guess family's needs.

I approached my cousin, Drew Guess, concerning starting this Gofundme. It was not his idea. He would much rather be the one giving to someone else. He'd give you the shirt off of his back and anything he could get his hands on before he'd ask for anything. His wife, Rebecca, is the same way. He finally decided that his pride wouldn't stand in the way of God's blessings, and I love him for it. I can't tell you how much of a blessing he has been to me. He's taught me so much about what it means to be a person who seeks good and how to love deeply without expectations. Through all of this, the diagnosis, the falls and the unexpected hospital stays, Drew and Rebecca remain united and positive.

I appreciate you taking the time to get to know a little more about my cousin's family and their needs. If you can find it within your heart and budget to help my cousin and his wonderful family bear the financial burden of doctor's visits, medications, and monthly bills, I know it will be greatly appreciated. I will be intermittently fasting from some of my normal pursuits and giving the funds I would have spent towards this campaign. So, funds for extras like books, fast-food and entertainment, will go towards this Gofundme. It's a way to be intentional about giving, and it's a good reminder of the things I don't need.
