Sweet Debbie Frein

Debbie was diagnosed with a glioblastoma brain tumor on Monday, January 23rd. This tumor was given a grade IV.  Debbie had a surgical biopsy on Monday, January 16th at Barnes Hospital.  The Tumor Board recomended that Debbie undergo surgery to remove as much of the tumor as possible.  On February 10, Debbie underwent brain surgery and the surgeons were able to remove   50-60% of the tumor as this portion is in the parietal lobe.   The part of the tumor that resides within the corpus callosum was unable to be removed because it is too risky.  Since surgery, Debbie has been trying to regain strength.  

Debbie is currently undergoing chemotherapy and radiation treatments at Barnes Hospital.
