Breast cancer? Really? Are you sure it's not a bouncy ball? It felt like a bouncy ball. It could be. I mean, have you ever smelled a bouncy ball? It smells like it could be confused with cancer. Ok, it's breast cancer. Wow. The size of a marble? Hah. My sister says I lost all my marbles. The jokes on her, I saved one in my boob. Yes, doctor, I will be serious now.

I'm a massage therapist. It's such a fulfilling path to take in life. It does not, however, leave a lot of excess money to cover things like health insurance - even with Obamacare. So, the diagnosis was gut wrenching in more than one way. Luckily, my state has programs in place to cover a large portion of the costs of the hospital, and doctors honor it as well, but it leaves a lot to pay out of pocket. 

Do you know how many doctors are involved when breast cancer is diagnosed? Me neither. They just keep popping up. There is the surgeon, anesthesiologist, oncologist, radiologist, lab fees, and that is just the first month after finding the lump, not including the test to get to the diagnosis. 

I don't want to profit off my misfortune, but I would like to be able to continue taking care of my kids while all this is going on. I'm just saying. So, let me just point out that I low balled my total. Whoops. I can honestly say that this is going to run well over $10k. Yikes! I can't shake my money tree quite that hard.
